A view of the Joy on her trailer. The Explorer's hitch is a bit too high, so it looks kinda funny. Also the attitude of the trailer takes weight off the tongue, which in not a good thing. We presently tow her behind a 1995 Caravan. The Caravan doesn't have any trouble pulling her and the whole rig is very stable. She's dry sailed from Wind Mill Point on the Bay during the summer months.
Joy a 1970 Cal 21. Of note is the solar vent (another one is located forward); the lifeline netting and the cheek blocks leading the halyards to the cockpit. taken in March on the Chesapeake Bay.
Lets see... Split backstay with adjuster, boom vang, jiffy reefing, halyards lead aft to cam cleats, pole track on mast, solar powered vent, lifelines with netting... talk about your well equiped 21 footers
